BÁSEŇ O KRÁSNEJ PANNE

U nás kvitne krásna panna
ako ruža v sade,
smavé ústa, zora ranná,
radosť budí vždy a všade.

I ja som mal to potešenie
stretnúť túto krásku,
hneď tu bolo pokušenie
darovať jej sedmokrásku.

S malým kvietkom nesmelo
pristupujem k panne,
u srdca mám veselo
neviem, čo sa stane.

A dievča stojí, klopí zrak,
nach zafarbí jej líčko
a ja mám zrazu veľký strach
vysloviť to slovíčko.

A tak stojím ako stĺp,
na duši mám tieseň,
o tej kráske nádhernej
spievam túto pieseň.
