Peste valuri reci,

Vezi cum trec si danseaza-n cerc,
Doua barje mici, pline cu voinici.
In februarie aprins, barcile s-au prins.
Velele se-ntind, peste nori plutind.

se strang panze pe catarge din lemn pictat, cu tandrete de tamplar impachetat
Vantul le sopteste o dulce poveste,
Leganate-n noduri, se alinta-n coduri.

Treceau prin vant neobosit, retezand crestele necontenit.
Spre soarele verzui, usor spre miazazi, etrava elansata, ferm se bizui.
aprinse pe prora barjelor, priviri scanteietoare ca licaritul stelelor,
jucau acelasi dans, ca pe al Valahiei uscat,
usor in valuri, vals, ca-ntr-un vis mai fermecat.
