The field, also called a plot of land or agricultural plot, is:

  • a piece of land specific to cultivation or animal keeping.
  • a property of your character.

With your field, you will be able to grow crops or raise livestocks. That's a significant source of income! Some players might want to sell their own fields, don't hesitate to look at the sale offers to find a good deal.

Buying a field

BuyField.png

To buy a field your character is required to:

    or

Note:

Town Hall

BuyField2.png

Buying a field at the town hall costs:

  • 50 pounds (Pound.png): for the very first purchase only
      or
    • 500 pounds (Pound.png): for all subsequent purchases

This purchase method will give your character a fallow field and you can decide in the next step what type of field you want.

    Sales offers

    FieldSalesOffers.png

Buying a field by consulting one of the sale offers means buying it from one of the inhabitants of the town who put it up for sale.
In that case, the price is anywhere between 400 and 1000 pounds (Pound.png) per field (first or second).

This mode of purchase does not allow you to choose the agricultural plot. It is whichever the seller has previously chosen. It can be reset nevertheless.

The pounds spent are paid into the house's chest of the field's seller.

    Access your fields

    A field is accessible via:

    Choose your agricultural plot

    ChooseAgriculturalPlot.png

Choosing an agricultural plot consists of:

    • selecting a field among 6 classic and 5 special options.
    • confirming the choice: ChooseLandButton.png

    Note:

    • Your character must reset their field to be able to choose one of the special fields.

    Classic fields

    ClassicFields.png

Classic fields provide us with the food, raw materials or cultivated products, and can be:

    Note:

    • Your character must have the:
      • "Market Gardener" skill unlocked to be able to choose the vegetable field
      • "Animal Lover" skill unlocked to be able to choose the Cow and Pig fields.
      • Honey Farmer skill unlocked to be able to choose the apiary.

    Special fields

    SpecialFields.png

Special fields provide us with the food, raw materials or cultivated products needed for production of luxury products, and can be:

    Note:

    • These types of fields are only available in certain towns of Renaissance Kingdoms!
    • The hop fields are only accessible by the community of monks residing in monasteries.

    Reset a field

    ResetField.png

Resetting a field means changing the way field is used, hence avoiding the need to buy a new one. Resetting a field costs 50 pounds (Pound.png).

To reset a field, your character needs to:

    • be in the town of its property
    • not have an active or accepted offer
    • have enough pounds in the personal inventory
    • reset a field ( ResetIcon.png )
    • confirm the choice ResetFieldButton.png

This way, your character will be given a fallow field, needing to choose its agricultural plot.

    Notes:

    • You can reset a plot as often as you like, and at almost any time. It will always cost 50 pounds per reset.
    • It will not be possible to reset a field unless all Chapter 3 quests are completed.

    Work in a field

    Your character can:

    • in their own field:
    • in another character's field:

Working in a field modifies its quality. Quality benefits from bonuses:

    BonusField.png

The next day, the harvest is available in the owner's property's inventory whether or not the work in the field is finish.

    Note:

    • The worker can be either the character owning the field, or another character.

    Work

    WorkField.png

To work in their field, your character needs to:

    • be in the town where the field is.
    • not be working elsewhere.
    • put the raw materials needed in their property's inventory prior the work.
    • choose the action that needs to be done for a period of 22 hours or 100 APs :
      • PloughButton.png SowButton.png HarvestButton.png
    • confirm the action : WorkFieldButton.png

To work in someone else's field, your character needs to:

    • go to the Town Hall
    • have unlocked the skill "Sociable" in the "Work" skill tree
    • respond to a job offer: WorkForButton.png

    Note:

    • The "Work" action can't be cancelled once launched.

    Hire

    HireField.png

To hire a worker in their field, your character needs to:

    • put the raw materials and tools needed in their property's inventory prior the hire.
    • have at least 12 pounds per hire in their inventory
    • possesses the skill "Agricultural employer" in the "Agriculture" skill tree
    • choose the action that needs to be done for a period of 22 hours or 100 APs:
      • PloughButton.png SowButton.png HarvestButton.png
    • define hiring criteria of the:
      • gross salary: from 12 to 50 pounds (Pound.png)
      • Characteristic minimum: from 0 to 19 intelligence or strength points
    • confirm the action: HireFieldButton.png

It is possible to cancel a job offer as long as its not taken. To do so your character needs to :

    • access the field
    • cancel the job offer: CancelJobOffer.png

    Note:

    • Your character needs to have unlocked the skills:
      • "Agricultural Employer" to be able to hire workers in their field.
      • "Demanding Employer" to be able to ask for Intelligence or Strength characteristics.
    • Your character can hire workers even when on Travel.
    • The Sheriff can put Taxes on the wages of field workers. These taxes are paid by the character owning the field.

Put a field in the village

    PlaceField.png

To place a field in the village your character needs to:

    • be in the town where the field is
    • access the field
    • select it: PutFieldIcon.png
    • put it on an empty "field" location: FieldVillageButton.png

    Moving a field costs 5 pounds (Pound.png).

    Note:

    • You can place and move a field as much as you like and whenever you want.
    • If no "field" locations are available, contact the mayor or Planning Assistant to have new locations established on the 3D layout.

    Field sale

    FieldSale.png

Selling a field involves publishing a sale offer on the land market so that one of the village's inhabitants can buy it.

To sell a field, your character needs to :

    • access the field
    • defines selling criteria: SaleFieldIcon.png
      • the price : from 400 to 1000 pounds (Pound.png)
      • the description : if not mandatory, its interesting to write a descriptive text.
    • put on sale: PutFieldOnSaleButton.png

When the field is sold, the seller collects the pounds of that sale the next day at 5:17pm in the property's inventory.

It is possible to cancel a sale as long as the field is not sold. To do so your character needs to :

    • access the field
    • cancel the sale: CancelSaleFieldButton.png
