The Quest for the Flame is a temporary available event launched by the administrators at the beginning of the Autumn (2022) or Summer (2024) Tournament event.

Goal of the game

Bring the torch of the village home, come on! Well, actually to the capital of the county / duchy. Now hurry, before the time's up!

How to play?

To bring the torch of your village to the capital of your county click on the bottom right corner of the village screen.

Participate in the quest.
You have to contact the mayor of your village directly:

• Write him/her a letter
• Meet him/her at the tavern.
• etc.

Mayor

The mayors of all villages in the Renaissance Kingdoms receive a torch of the village in their town hall inventory.
From their office they may designate a character as the torch bearer they entrust with the delivery to the capital of the county.

Note:

• The mayor may designate himself as the torch bearer. But be careful to not leave the village unattended for too long...
• Only residents of the village can be designated as the torch bearer from the mayor.
• The torch can be passed via the market to another character.
• The torch can be robbed while travelling to the capital. It's best to not go alone.

Residents

To carry the torch of the village you have to:

• receive it from the mayor OR
• receive it from the previous torch bearer.

• To be a designated torch bearer by the mayor the character has to be in the village to receive the torch.
• To pass the torch to another resident the torch bearer has to use the torch of the village from his inventory. Both characters have to be in the same village / on the same node.

The torch bearer, alone or accompanied by a group, has to take the torch to the capital of the county/duchy before the timer is up and the next part of the event, the jousts beginn.
To deposit the torch once the torch bearer reaches the capital he needs to go to the event home page and select the button to deliver the torch.
Note: Only inhabitants of the village can be designated to carry the torch of their village.

Rules

In the 4th tab named "Rules" all information about the event, including it's rules and event objects, new items ... can be found.

The roads are dangerous so will you arm yourself with the necessary courage? And, because why not, with an escort?

Trophies

• To carry the torch of the village at least once will grant the trophy "Torchbearer".
• To bring back the torch of the village to the county capital will grant the trophy "Hero of the flame".
• Be a resident of a county where all torches have been brought back to the capital will grant the trophy "The union makes the flame".

Rewards

The rewards are:

points for the county for the tournament: 0% of all village torches reached the capital = 0 points 25% of the village torches reached the capital = +100 points 50% of the village torches reached the capital = +300 points 75% of the village torches reached the capital = +600 points 100% of the village torches reached the capital = +1000 points a Replica tournament torch (*)

• (*): will be given to the characters that delivered the torch of the village successfully in the capital of the county / duchy
